Training Dog Guard

Basic rules of mastery of the dog at home
The main rule for a good control of the dog is to ensure your position as dominant to your dog. However, this does not require that you face in combat, the intelligent method is the only effective while the violence has devastating results.
So, you must ensure your rank. The following points to help you:
- The meals apart: The dog ate after his teachers and gets absolutely nothing from them during their meals. It often yields to the temptation or the groan of a dog to look convincing, but it must remain exceptional and irregular.
- The place of sleep: The dog sleeps in a place that you've assigned. This is not a place of passage (landing, hallway) or your bed. When he commits a mistake, you will return without aggression, but without admission of refusal.
Additionally, you teach him not to climb on furniture or beds, and it is best to allow him a coin, usually the kitchen, until they are fully educated.
- The hugs: When is a male, cease to coax from adolescence and remember to push when it will be too pressing. In the case of a female, the master take care not to over-respond to his advances when it is in heat, and even the return in its basket.
- Communicate dominating: Know that you are asking more questions about how your dog will react to your orders, more you undermine your authority. To be perceived as dominant, you must adopt a firm tone of voice without shouting, use short words (the more you talk, the tone becomes more monotony and belief fades). Bend to the dog.
You must watch the dog's eyes fixed on his face or his back and not too much in her eyes, which may correspond to a provocation.
- Good and evil: The best learning is based on the rumble in bad behavior, but also the encouragement and reward if performed well.
Having one of his two reflexes (eg rumble only reward for evil or only on the property) does not diminish your authority, but by two more! It is therefore essential to access all your education on these attitudes.
- The reaction of the heart: From a very young age, a puppy recognizes the significance of a disapproving tone of voice where a "No", very close by doing something stupid. Beware if a rumble or correction is required, it must be firm and applied immediately after the fault, otherwise it is useless.
- A short name: The second thing a puppy recognizes is its name. A show dog may be named very long and very complicated, but remember to give her one that is short and easy to recognize. Use this name frequently, and encourage them to come to you, especially at mealtime.
- Positions: For the dog for exhibitions, and likely to participate soon after the age of six months, start training as soon as you take home. The biggest lesson is learning to stand motionless in the exposure position, head up and tail up. If your puppy is a breed of small size, it must be used to stand on a table while a judge examines it. We ask for puppies, large breed to stand freely, to watch their master, where is the good master who puts his dogs into position, crouching beside him.
Ask the farmer or go to some exhibitions to see what they are doing. The training can be done standing just before the meal, thereby rewarding the animal immediately after exercise. You can then quickly replace the reward of a simple meal treat.
- Accountability: The master must allow his dog to roam freely if it can guarantee that the animal will come when called.
It does not leave a dog known that his education is not done without supervision.
- A necklace from an early age: Put a collar on your dog early. At first, he scrape the neck and tortillera trying to get rid of, but once it realized there was nothing to do, he will eventually accept it. The next stage is to attach a leash light, or a string, the collar, preferably made of a substance that the dog can not chew. Let the dog shot, for a few minutes each day, until he forgets. Then, take the lead and encourage them to follow you by talking to him constantly. If fight, wait until it calms down, then encourage him to come to you and praise him.
- Commands: All puppies, whether intended or not to participate in exhibitions, must know certain commands to learn to obey. It's important to always use the same word (sound) for the same purpose. Thus, we understand why dog lovers all use the same command as "the foot", "In Cart", "Sit", "Lying," "Stand Up", "Enough" (to tell the dog to stop), "Not moving" and "Go" (marking the end of an order "not moving").
Here is a reminder of his commandments:
Foot
Nothing is more frustrating than a dog who refuses to get caught. Many people who own a large dog and boisterous afraid to let him go free. This is a shame for the dog as for the master. It is best to begin training in the garden, using a long leash. The retractable leashes are very practical in this case, the same as for the first walks, when the puppy is not yet fully prepared. Leave a good length of leash that is relatively free, then call it by name and say "- At the foot!." Repeat the lesson, pull it toward you and praise him. You may distribute a treat occasionally, but train your dog to come, with or without reward. You will not need to repeat much exercise before your puppy understands what is expected of him. When execute the order without the leash, you have won. Expect, however relapses. The first exit off the lead is nerve-racking, but if the groundwork has been treated, you should not encounter major difficulties. Have the wisdom not to externalize your gripe about the undisciplined puppy when you finally managed to catch him. You only succeed in persuading him not to return at all next time! Take the work still leaves some time to improve the training.
In Cart
This order will make you great service at home. Most puppies will love the openness to the knowledge of people who visit you, but they do not necessarily like dogs.
The puppy should learn not to go bad and stay in bed when it is so ordered. It is difficult to teach a dog to move away from a place or person. It is easier to tell him where you want it to go, and the most logical place is the basket.
Seated
Another order that we teach the young pup is often: "- Sit. It is an easy-to teach, since it suffices to press the rear of the dog while repeating the name of the animal and the order to execute.
Lying down
Other precious commandment. Caution to use this order simply to ask the animal to remain calm (in a restaurant for example). Do not use it to prevent the dog from jumping on visitors, we use "Enough" in this case). When the dog sits, gently pull the front legs until he was forced to lie, not forgetting to repeat the name and order, and praising each time, until that it performs the exercise alone.
Standing
For "Stand Up", it is first placed in position "Sit" and get on to him at the height of his nose the hand holding the reward. We can pull it out to be a little bit for it rises.

How do I understand my dog not to jump on guests?
Take a little time to teach your dog to correct behavior.
Exit quietly (by the back door) and go home by the main door. The dog has a poor understanding of time and it will not realize that you just leave. It welcomes you with its usual jump ...
Scold him loudly when he jumps on you. The "Enough" is earlier riguer. If you are having difficulty doing so stop with the tone of your voice, try speaking louder. Clap your hands before his face when he jumps. You can also sprinkle with water.
When he looks back on all fours, bend over and place it in the sitting position. Praise him profusely. Repeat this trick several times. Remember that all learning is growling when it's bad but especially welcoming when it is!

Sometimes the problem is identical but it is to convince the dog not to lick the guest. The above points can also be applied, but is it really necessary?

How to understand my dog not to bark at the arrival of guests?
The advice given in paragraph above may also be included for this scenario. Here, in case of refusal to stop barking at a guest's arrival, if your firm does not continue after you have to punish him by confining him in a remote area some time. This approach must be systematic.
If, following your roar, you notice a decrease in the volume of barking, while the guest is always in the lobby, PERSERVER to scold him until he is silent (you're on the right track). Then bursting of kindness as soon as he is silent forever.
Do enter the guest in the room when the dog understands or, failing that, that you put in the corner.

On a more general way, if you need help with dressing, ask around where you find lessons for dogs.
Also, if you plan to participate, if only once, at an exhibition, be sure your dog should get used to being handled by strangers and endure the proximity of other dogs. The show dog must also learn to walk on a leash, also courses in most dog clubs will service you if your dog has room for improvement in this area. These lessons, all categories, are not only reserved for dogs with pedigree. Any dog will benefit, and you'll meet interesting people.
